Phorex is a very rough work-in-progress attempting to build a "4X" game in javascript. It does make pretty maps and is now (marginally) playable.

In UNSET, UNSET peoples have come together, united by a new vision of a bright future.
A leader has arisen to lead the people into a bright new age. They herald a vision of civilization that they promise will protect and feed their people, allowing them to flourish into the bright future.
GuidanceSelect one of the following options: Assign a New JobDevelop this TileConduct an ExperimentWorshipMount an ExpeditionManage this PopulationPopulation Resources |
Assign a New JobYou may assign this population to work at a different work site. The site must have enough space for the entire population or else it will be over-harvested and degrade. By default, assigning to a new job does not cost any Guidance points, although some Policies may change this. Develop the TileAny population may prospect in an attempt to discover heretofore unknown natural resources, however each successive discovery is less likely than the last. Once a population has discovered or learned advances, they can spend resources to build new work sites, civic structures, and places of worship. ProspectingA successful prospecting attempt will discover a random natural work site on this tile. Prospecting on this tile has a % chance of success. The search will consume , successful or not. BuildingDirecting a population to build something does not cost Guidance points. Constructing any building earns the population 20 Prestige. Necessary materials come first from the population and then from the stockpile. Greyed-out buildings require more materials to build than you have access to. Conduct an ExperimentYou can guide the population to experiment with some of their resources in the hopes of learning a new advance. It will cost points to guide this population to conduct an experiment. WorshipPopulations can enact any rite they know, or you can guide them to sacrifice resources in an attempt to design a new rite. Existing rites can be synthesized to create more powerful rites. Enact a RiteThe population may enact any rite that it knows, influencing other populations on the tile. There is a chance that one of these populations will learn the rite themselves. Designing RitesDesigning rites will sacrifice a random resource in the population's possession in an attempt to create a meaningful rite. Synthesize RitesYou can synthesize two different rites into a new, more powerful combined rite. This population will cease to practice the original two rites. Mount an ExpeditionYou can send this population to another tile within its range. They can go as scouts, as raiders, or as migrants. Tiles within range are marked with an 'x' while those beyond your population's range are marked with an 'o'. Manage this PopulationRenaming a population costs nothing. Splitting or merging populations is restricted by the populations' values and demographics. The less they'd like the split or merge, the more it will cost you. Rename this PopulationSplit the PopulationMerge this Population with AnotherPopulation ResourcesChanges to population resources occur immediately. Populations which have been equipped or divested of resources will still act on their own initiative this season. Equip this PopulationYou may give the population resources from the stockpile. Equipping a population with a certain resource does not cost points and increases the population's prestige and loyalty. Divest this PopulationYou may guide the population to give up resources and add them to the communal stockpile. Divesting a population of a certain resource does cost points as well as decreases the population's prestige and loyalty. Equipment changes occur immediately. Result of your GuidanceYou've already provided guidance to this population for the season. Here's what they did: You can give them more guidance next season. In the mean time, you can still manage their Resources by clicking the Population Resources tab. |
